How did this idea started
We had a dream!
Clayton and I were always huge animals lovers. (We even met in the dog park). Over the years, we adopted and rescued all kinds of different animals that needed homes (dogs, cats, parrot, desert tortoise, and yes, even our fish are rescued), but our real dream was to have a bigger place were we could rescue even more animals and most of all horses, as we knew that those loving animals are indeed mistreated in all kinds of cruel ways, and are in a desperate need of help.
We love all horses, all kinds and all shapes but are especially fond of the draft horses that despite their huge size, are so gentle, kind, and loving. So once we opened our non-profit organization, we decided to concentrate on the rescue of drafts. (Mostly).
This dream of ours was kept in our prayers for many years. We always knew however that one-day, when the time is right, we would move and make this dream of ours come true.
And that indeed happened.
In March of 2006 we moved to a ranch in Murrieta, California. It is a beautiful property surrounded by nature with a lot of flat space for the horses to roam around and be happy. A place were a horse can be a horse...
